Chef Bing Wang,
nephew of longtime Denver chef, Tommy Wong, was born
in Shanghai, China, where he trained in traditional
Chinese cooking. For twenty years, Bing sharpened
his culinary skills in his homeland developing many
authentic Asian dishes.
He gained his
kosher experience cooking for the Jewish population
of Shanghai. The Jewish community in Shanghai
started when Jews fleeing Nazi Europe escaped to
China, and some remained in Shanghai after the war.
Bing decided to move to the United States with his
family in 1988, where he continued to prepare his
unique Asian dishes. |

"I am very excited for
the opportunity to prepare my Asian and American
dishes as kosher here in Denver," says Bing. "This
is an exciting adventure for all of us!"
Bing has prepared
his dishes for such top restaurants as the Imperial
Chinese Seafood Restaurant and Little Ollies, where
he continued his career in traditional Chinese
cooking. "There is a big difference between
traditional Chinese and American Chinese cooking,"
Bing stated. "I have many kosher Asian dishes, all
cooked with kosher seasonings and spices."
